    About this tool

Turn photos, scans and screenshots into a single PDF without installing software. Add several images, put them in the order you want, choose A4 or a page that fits each image, and download the file.

Everything happens in your browser. The images are drawn on a canvas, encoded as JPEG and written into a PDF file by the script on this page, so nothing is sent to a server.

How to use the Image to PDF Converter

    1. Add JPG or PNG images with drag and drop or the file picker.
    2. Use Move up and Move down to set page order, or Remove to delete an image.
    3. Choose A4 or Fit to image, orientation and margin.
    4. Enter a file name and press Create and download PDF.

    Practical examples

Scanned receipts: add the photos in date order, choose A4, portrait and a 10 mm margin to get a tidy expense document.
A wide screenshot: choose Fit to image so the PDF page has the same proportions as the screenshot.

    How it works

Each image is loaded, drawn on a white canvas (so transparent PNG areas print white) and re-encoded as a JPEG at 92% quality. Very large images are scaled down so the longest side is at most 4000 pixels to avoid running out of memory.

The JPEG bytes are placed unchanged inside a PDF 1.4 file as an image object with the DCT filter, and a small content stream positions the picture on each page. A4 is 595.28 x 841.89 points. With A4 the image is scaled to fit inside the margins and centred; with Fit to image the page matches the image at 96 pixels per inch plus margins.

The PDF writer is plain JavaScript in pdf-tools.js, so no third-party library is needed.

    Privacy and file processing

Your images are processed locally by your browser and are never uploaded to any server.

    Frequently asked questions

    Are my images uploaded?

No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser.

Why is my PNG now a JPEG inside the PDF?

Embedding JPEG keeps the writer small and files compact. Transparent areas become white.

    Is there a limit?

The tool accepts up to 100 images. Very large images are downscaled to 4000 px on the long side; browser memory limits apply.

Can I add text or compress the PDF further?

Not in this tool. It does one job: images to PDF, in your chosen order.
